But there's hope... as Ernesto pointed out Joao Pessoa is celebrating 425 years of existence (a lot of time for a city in this side of the Atlantic!). The climax of the party will be this Wednesday, and none other than the Paralamas do Sucesso will be rocking the night out downtown. They are a bit of an 'old school' band, I think one of my first music purchases my youth was a cassette from them. Since the Wednesday excursion was cancelled we must jump on a bus and head downtown that night. Anyone wants to join?
